I was in a terrible mood yesterday and had no appetite today. I found this restaurant, which is very close to San Dimas, and I came here with the mentality of giving it a try. When I arrived at the door, I was attracted by the retro style of the building, as if it took me back to the United States in . I like the design, decoration, atmosphere and traditional food here. The fries are great and the coffee is mellow. I hope that milk can be provided in the future. It will be perfect. The waiters are enthusiastic and sincere, and all the diners are so simple, kind and friendly. I will come here often, after all, we are "neighbors"

I would not recommend Mr. D'S Diner, I had the payday omelet it was way over cooked I was expecting a light fluffy omelet but i got a dry crunchy mess. My tator tots tasted like oil they were brown not golden its so overcooked I couldn't bite it. The manager said it's the oil that's its old and it tasted burned not that it was overcooked. My girlfriend said the Beef dip and said it was okay. The waitress said she knew my food looked funny but brought it to me anyways.

False advertising and deceptive business practices. My wife and I have eaten at Mr. D's several times, we found the food to be average at best, but they are local and we like doing business in our own hometown. We have driven by Mr. D's and noticed they have two giant banners on top of their building for a breakfast special, $. with two options. we figured that we would give this restaurant another chance and went into order the breakfast special and were told that we were too late, another waitress said it's only Monday through Friday.Looking at their sign. It shows a breakfast special and open :. It doesn't say anything about any kind of time, constraint or days of the special. so we left the restaurant and will never be back.I called the manager of the restaurant right after we left and all I got was lame excuses from him about the special, I told him to go outside and read what his sign says.I'm sure that anyone looking at this banner that is displayed on both Route and baseline Avenue shows of deceptiveness. If this is the way this business treats seniors, then I can no longer patronize this business and it's up to you if you want to patronize us business that advertises like this, local or not!Mr. D's needs to issue a public apology to the local residence of La Verne and San Dimas.Thank you for reading my post,SincerelyBH

The best meal we've had in ages. Portions were very large. The food was piping hot and very good. Our server came by to check on us many times, despite the place being pretty busy. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.Kid-friendliness: Kid meals were large and tasty. Plenty of options.
